Beware the scorpion!

The principal function of Skarner is secure enemy targets, his CC kit made almost impossible to escape his sharp tongs. Skar is very manahungry early levels, so secure your bluebuff. Once you get Iceborn Gauntlets and Spirit Stone Rush boots and IG, the faster the better, both items improve skar function greately, and depending of the match, buy the things you think you will need most. Read the notes of the builds for better info. Try to AutoAttack as much as possible, remember skar passive, get advantage of it.

Zic-zac?

Maye you are questioning why I didn't maximize one spell at the beginning, and that have some answers: Getting Q faster means that your slows is great once you caught your opponent, but your engages are awful due the lack of a higher speed. Getting W faster means more movement speed and better engage, but the Q will give a pretty weak slow an that give the enemy a chance to run. So leveling both spells felt more balanced between engage and secure. But you can feel free to level up your favorite spell according to your playstyle, this is a guide, not an order.

But as any jungler: Smite to secure your buffs. Flash, it can give you a surprise engage, a combo of flash+ult and grab the enemy to your team is absolutely lethal. TIP: Don't try it other way, you can't flash while you're ulting Another option is Ghost, due improve your engage and grabbing significantly. but flash can get better uses, and can get thought walls.

Runes

But in few words: Quintessence of movement speed: It increase your engage/chase potential. Other offensive option is Attackspeed Glyph(Red) of Attackspeed: AS is the best on Skarner due his passive, and Skar ends with very few AS items, go getting it passive from your runes is better. If you didn't have AS runes and want to jungle, AP and AD can be the last resource, but really didn't work as well. Mark(Yellow) of Flat Amor: Skar is very squishy at early game, and flat armor is like a requirement to any jungler at early. Seal(Blue) of scaling Magic Resist: MR is very scarce in the game, and at the least lvl it give MR like a Mercury's treat

Maybe with a few variations, but those are good masteries choises for Skarner. Depending if you want to sacrifice some physical resistance for more CC resistance you can change the talents some points to complete the tenacity and slow resistance. The points in Utility are a must be, at least the buff mastery. Early levels Skar needs blue in him as long as possible. BTW, thanks for read.
