You might want to play him hibrid-like, but I personally think that off-tank-ad is pretty much the best build on Jax. Not only can you counter every top laner that is based on AA (as well as many others), but you will be doing a whole lot of dmg in late-game as well. Of course, you need to know how to play jax at a higher-than-medium level to be able to rock this build. Good luck to you all!

There are several ways of maxing your skills. You can max W first and then E, but never max Q first/second. I, for one, max E first because it's the skill that I rely on the most. W deals the most dmg and a maxed W+Sheen is very good, but since I build Sheen/Trinity only after BORK it makes more sense to max W second and E first (for me Q is nothing more than a gap closer or an escape ability).

The build goes well on a jungler Jax as well, though you might want to start with hunter's machete instead of boots. Just saying.
