Build Options

Start Items: Your Start Build Depends on your enemy. If you got a very early heavy champ like Riven as your enemy its better to go with the 2nd Item Start with Elixir of Fortitude to countert that aggression. If you expect an early gank take a Ward with you instead of 2 Health Potions. Core Items: Two Doran's Blades in your Build are most likely only for lanephase so you have some extra AD, Life and Life per Hit (+ your W active/passive). You can sell them if you need like 100 more gold to finish Wit's End or Trinity Force. Try to go Wit's End first, Phage should be enough if you are not to far behind. Finish Trinity Force second. Getting really tanky in late game is the best thing to do with irelia if you already got your Trinity and Wit's End. Lategame Items: You can build Randuin's Omen/Maw of Malmortius now, depending on your enemies teamcomp ( double ap: maw / ad and ap: randuins(wardens mail) / double ad: randuins asap! ). Another possibilty is that you dont build Warmog's Armor and go Maw of Malmortius AND Randuin's Omen instead, depending on how much HP you need overall. The bonus MR and Armor are often the better choice than another 1.000 HP out of Warmog's because Blade of the Ruined King is a High Favorite Item at the moment. Because of the Tenacity Passive and the Attack Speed on Zephyr you can almost always go Ninja Tabi (+ Irelia Passive!). If the enemy Team is double AP comp you can change the Randuins into another Item like Hexdrinker/Maw of Malmortius.

Skill Order

If you expect an early gank from your enemy jungler it would be best if you wait with your first skill point to spent. When you get ganked early at lvl 1/2(Lee Sin for example) spent your points on your q + e and try to stun your enemy jungler/top laner to escape without flash. Max your W first to get the extra Life per Hit from the passive for Sustain and the True DMG in your Active to win dmg exchanges. Maxin Q as 2nd gives you extra safety in Last Hitting and more DMG against your opponent. For example: You get Jayce as your Opponent. If you q onto him you get knocked away almost instantly so you dont get the chance to poke him with your W active or Stun/Slow him with your E. So to get your Max. DMG in this scenario you need to max your Q after your W.

Summoners

Take Ignite as a finisher and Healing Reduction for Fights against your Lane Opponent. To get out of risky or dangerous Situations take Flash of course.

Runes

The flat Magic Resist Glyphs and flat Armor Seals give you durability in lane. The Attack Speed Marks are scaling pretty well with your True DMG on your W active ( your main DMG output! ) To get a bit extra Strength in poking and Last Hitting flat AD Quintessences will be more than enough.

Masteries

Thats the best Mastery Page against poke Heavy enemies ( best example: Elise!!!) i know of. Taking the Attack Speed and Bonus Armor Penetration will guarantee your DMG and the points in "Unyielding" and "Block" will take away some DMG of your enemies poke. I hope i helped you a bit with my first Guide, if it was good i can continue doing some (hopefully^^) Any questions or improve suggestions are highly appreciated and i try to do everything to improve! ^^ At last: sry for my Grammer... i was never really good at it ~.~
